Role Overview

We invite early-career software engineers with strong Computer Science fundamentals to join the StudyLink team, which develops a leading cloud-based admissions platform internationally used by top universities. StudyLink enhances the entire student application and payment journey by integrating admissions with Flywire’s global payments technology.

In this role, you will engage with advanced AI tools like Claude Code from the start, boosting your ability to understand and develop complex systems efficiently. You will focus on software craftsmanship, validating data, ensuring FinTech security compliance, improving database performance, and producing enterprise-ready code by critically overseeing AI-generated outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage AI-powered development tools to analyze, improve, and write clean, secure, and testable code.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to assess AI-generated code for logic, design quality, and edge cases.
• Work in global, cross-functional teams including architects, product, site reliability engineering, and security to meet stringent FinTech standards.
• Support client onboarding and technical issue resolution alongside application support teams.
• Contribute to identifying and implementing product enhancements for better user workflows and system responsiveness.
• Participate in continuous lifecycle improvements adhering to established processes for reliable software delivery.

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid foundation in object-oriented programming (especially Java), data structures, system architecture, and relational database design (PostgreSQL).
• Comfortable utilizing large language models and AI coding assistants such as Claude Code to navigate and modify complex codebases.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI outputs for logic, security vulnerabilities, memory management, and scalability.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (0-2 years).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across diverse teams.
• Proficiency in English as the working language.
• Helpful but not essential: Experience in FinTech, EdTech, or the payments and education sectors.
