Role Overview
The Software Engineer will play a key role in the development, upkeep, and support of software applications, services, and integrations for CreditWorks. The position involves contributing to a broad variety of projects including web applications, APIs, data integrations, automation efforts, and internal systems. This role provides the chance to work with experienced developers, adopt modern development practices, and deliver valuable technology solutions for customers and the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve software applications and services used by CreditWorks.
- Support the design and implementation of APIs, system integrations, and automation solutions.
- Work on frontend and backend components of software products.
- Produce clean, maintainable code in line with development standards and best practices.
- Assist with database-related tasks including development, data management, and debugging.
- Engage in testing, quality assurance, and peer code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software faults and issues.
- Contribute to technical documentation and share knowledge across the team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to achieve technological goals.
- Participate in ongoing improvements to system performance, reliability, and user experience.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or equivalent experience in Software Development, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Proficient in developing applications using C# and .NET technologies (mandatory).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL query language.
- Familiarity with web development principles.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Comfort with source control tools, preferably Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a practical mindset towards resolving issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively and positively receive feedback.
Additional skills like Blazor, Entity Framework, Microsoft SQL Server, REST API development, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, Docker, or AI-assisted development tools are beneficial but not required.
