The Singpass team focuses on enabling high assurance authentication, digital signatures, and secure data sharing for millions of users. This work emphasizes infrastructure grounded in security, reliability, and trust, aiming to create seamless and resilient digital services for all citizens.

Role Responsibilities

• Engage in the entire software development lifecycle — from ideation and collaboration with product managers and engineers to deploying and actively monitoring applications in production.
• Design, build, and iterate features for Singpass with attention to security standards and user experience.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and secure code, especially related to authentication, data sharing, and dependable mobile experiences.
• Create modern, responsive Android interfaces using native UI frameworks and layouts, ensuring performance across a range of devices.
• Architect scalable app structures such as MVVM or MVI and optimize app performance in aspects like memory, battery use, and network responsiveness.
• Expand knowledge in cloud-native engineering by understanding interactions between mobile clients and cloud infrastructure, with a focus on system integrity and secure operations.
• Collaborate closely with UX designers, cybersecurity personnel, and engineering peers to balance user requirements and technical constraints.

• Versatile problem solvers ready to engage across the Android stack and collaborate with backend teams for bug fixing and feature development.
• Strong computer science fundamentals covering data structures, algorithms, and networking, paired with enthusiasm for producing high-quality Kotlin code within modern Android development environments like Coroutines, Flow, and dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger/Hilt.
• Security-conscious mindset, meticulous and disciplined in implementing secure authentication methods, code obfuscation, and operating with national digital infrastructure.
• Effective communicators comfortable working within collaborative team environments, able to express and rationalize technical decisions clearly.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related domain, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Demonstrated professional experience developing Android applications.
• Proficient with Kotlin programming language and the Android SDK.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) systems, source control using Git, and automated testing tools.
