Platform Engineer - Reliability

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer specializing in reliability to join a leading FinTech company in Singapore. This position involves managing and optimizing a low latency Linux infrastructure, blending elements of Platform Engineering, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). The primary emphasis is on maintaining uptime, enhancing system reliability and availability, while also engaging in project-based tasks, infrastructure development, and routine operations with strong automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve a low latency Linux environment focused on reliability and availability.
• Perform a mix of platform engineering and SRE duties, balancing project work and business-as-usual operations.
• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks wherever feasible to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Contribute to infrastructure building and enhancement efforts to support business growth and technology demands.

Essential Skills

• Expertise with Linux operating systems in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience managing configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Proficiency with container technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, or Podman.
• Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Programming and scripting experience using Python.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Pulumi, or Bicep.
• Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Understanding of Disaster Recovery (DR) processes.
• Knowledge of Block and Blob Storage solutions.
• Exposure to High Performance Computing (HPC) environments.

Compensation & Location

This full-time role is based on-site in Singapore, offering a competitive salary range of SGD 140,000 to SGD 220,000 annually, plus bonus incentives.
