Overview
The EU INTech Delivery Experience group is seeking a Software Development Manager dedicated to addressing complex, high-impact challenges at global scale. This role entails ownership and delivery of key components within the team, alongside guiding design, development, deployment, and continuous support of diverse software applications. Close collaboration with global partners across multiple roles will be essential.
Based at the Bengaluru Development Center, the successful candidate will steward a team of software engineers, influence strategic business and technical directions, uphold high standards of software quality, and champion operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruiting and growing an engineering team accountable for design, development, and operational responsibilities.
- Mentoring engineers to promote organizational well-being and advance their career trajectories.
- Engaging in strategic planning to align with both technical and business goals, including resource management across various engineering groups.
- Leading rigorous design assessments and providing constructive feedback on architecture, design considerations, and operations.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders, product leaders, program managers (technical and non-technical), and customers to deliver effective solutions.
About the Team
The EU INTech Delivery Speed Tech team focuses on enhancing delivery options by enabling customers to receive items when, where, and how they prefer. The vision is to empower every customer to confidently select products tailored to their needs with minimal effort and optimal value. The team crafts customized, delightful shopping experiences acknowledging diverse customer preferences, innovating within the EU to serve a global audience, and avoiding one-size-fits-all approaches to customer experience.
Candidate Profile
- Proficiency in best practices and patterns encompassing the full software, hardware, and network development cycles, spanning coding standards, peer reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live site management.
- Over 10 years leading the design and development of multi-tier web services.
- More than 4 years managing engineering teams.
- At least 7 years of direct engineering experience.
- Demonstrated collaboration with product and program management teams.
- Expertise in designing and architecting new and existing systems with emphasis on design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Exceptional communication skills with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to gather requirements, explain software features, technical designs, and product strategies.
- Proven track record in hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineers to elevate their effectiveness and skills.
- Experience directing high-performing teams developing complex, scalable, world-class software solutions with successful customer delivery.
