Role Overview
We are looking for skilled Software Engineers to join our energetic team working with a leading financial services client. The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services. You'll partner closely with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams, thriving in a problem-solving, code-quality-focused, and collaborative delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain resilient and secure Java applications.
- Utilize Spring and Spring Batch frameworks to build high-performing services.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and optimal performance within distributed systems.
- Engage in code reviews and mentor less experienced developers.
- Maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines to streamline delivery.
- Convert legacy functionalities towards microservice modernization.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, aiding root cause investigations.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum with strong adherence to JIRA workflows.
- Conduct thorough analysis and testing to detect defects early.
- Collaborate with product teams to understand business domains supporting development and QA.
- Work closely with architects, testers, and DevOps teams to ensure cohesive project success.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Expertise in Java (JDK 8+) and Spring Integration, Spring Kafka, and Spring Batch.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and familiarity with microservices architectures.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
- Strong knowledge of microservices design patterns.
- Proficiency with SQL and managing Oracle databases.
- Experience with messaging systems like ActiveMQ and Kafka.
- Exposure to cloud-native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and OpenShift.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and build automation tools like Jenkins, Gradle, and Maven.
- Experience using caching and source control tools including Redis, Git, and GitLab.
- Solid grasp of software testing methodologies and quality assurance practices.

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools beyond UDeploy, including Jenkins or GitLab.
- Experience with containerization using Docker.
- Understanding of performance/load testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
