Software Developer Go

Position Overview

At VIER, you will contribute to shaping the future of Conversational AI and generative AI by developing innovative customer service solutions. Your main responsibility will be crafting and maintaining backend services using Go for our platform and integration products.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and develop APIs and Microservices aligned with contemporary architectural standards.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and fellow developers to launch new features from ideation to deployment.
• Create automated tests and conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality code.
• Investigate and resolve performance and stability issues in live systems.
• Document technical concepts and decision-making processes for your team and related teams.
• Actively contribute to the improvement of CI/CD pipelines and overall development workflows.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience, ideally at least 3 years in software development.
• Proven hands-on experience in Go programming for multiple years.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservice-based architectures; familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience using version control tools such as Git and functioning within CI/CD environments.
• Positive attitude towards integrating AI technologies, including Large Language Models and generative AI, with some practical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of both relational and NoSQL database systems.
• Structured, self-reliant, and solution-focused work approach within a team setting.
• Bonus points for experience in cloud development with providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and familiarity with Agentic Engineering, Clean Architecture, and Linux.
• Fluency in German at native or near-native level and fluent English skills are required.
