About the Role
TechHeads presents an exciting position for a Software Architect to join a reputed SaaS company based in Ireland. This role focuses on guiding the technical direction of a cloud-native platform, integrating modern software architecture and artificial intelligence technologies. The position supports remote work for candidates located anywhere in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete architecture lifecycle – from setting and evolving the technical roadmap to hands-on collaboration with engineering teams.
- Modernise legacy systems and design scalable microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Implement AI functionalities into the core SaaS product.
- Maintain high technical ownership spanning software development, AWS cloud infrastructure, and AI integration.
- Ensure solutions are suitable for high-availability and security-focused environments.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years in software engineering with substantial experience in architecture roles.
- Expertise in designing and evolving SaaS or cloud-native platforms.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and building scalable infrastructure.
- Proficiency in cloud architecture, preferably AWS.
- Experience in high-availability and security-sensitive contexts.
- Applications from seasoned Principal Engineers, Staff Engineers, or Technical Leads looking to take on broader architecture responsibilities are welcomed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in AI or machine learning architecture, or experience introducing AI capabilities into software products is highly desirable.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is €130,000 to €140,000 annually, depending on experience.
