About the Role
TechHeads is partnering with a client in Dublin to hire a Technical Project Manager for their Managed Services and Operations team. This permanent, onsite role offers a salary in the range of €90,000 to €100,000 plus a 5% performance-based bonus, dependent on experience. This position is ideal for an experienced Senior Project Manager with strong expertise in IT Operations, Managed Services, and overseeing complex technology deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership and upkeep of the integrated delivery plan for Managed Services and Operations using Microsoft Project or similar tools.
- Oversee delivery phases including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Operational Readiness Testing (ORT), Pilot, Go-Live, Hypercare, and Business As Usual (BAU).
- Coordinate multiple technical and operational workstreams, ensuring clear ownership, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables are managed effectively.
- Manage risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies (RAID), critical paths, resources, and drive closure of any blockers.
- Collaborate closely with teams such as IT Operations, Infrastructure, Applications, Security, Service Management, Testing, suppliers, and client stakeholders.
- Ensure operational readiness of services, covering support models, monitoring, ITSM processes, documentation, training, and escalation procedures.
- Lead service transitions successfully to BAU or operational expenditure managed services teams.
- Provide transparent, credible progress reports to senior management, client governance boards, and executive stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience, preferably in complex technology, IT Operations, or Managed Services environments.
- Demonstrated ability managing both technical and operational workstreams within multifaceted programmes.
- Experienced in guiding solutions from development through testing, operational readiness, go-live, and into BAU support.
- Sound knowledge of IT Operations, ITSM/ITIL frameworks, and Managed Service concepts.
- Technical literacy spanning cloud platforms, infrastructure, networking, applications, and systems integration.
- Strong client and stakeholder management aptitude, with confidence to influence cross-functional, non-direct reporting teams.
- Expertise in RAID management, dependency mapping, milestone tracking, critical path identification, and delivery scheduling.
- Proficient with Microsoft Project or equivalent project management tools.
- Possession of relevant project management certifications is a plus but not mandatory; proven commercial delivery experience is prioritized.
- Applicants must currently reside in Ireland and possess an EU Passport or valid Stamp 4 Visa.
Additional Information
Salary is offered between €90,000 - €100,000 plus a 5% bonus, commensurate with experience. This is an onsite opportunity based in Dublin.
