Job description
Role Overview
This full-time permanent opportunity is based in Pilltown, County Kilkenny, involving a typical schedule of two 24-hour shifts each week. The role focuses on delivering high-quality social care services within a residential setting for vulnerable young people aged 12 to 17 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Centre Manager and Social Care Leaders to provide a secure, nurturing, and stabilizing environment for young people in care.
- Implement individualized daily activities tailored to the needs of residents.
- Support the wellbeing and development of children and youths through engagement and supervision during shifts.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Educated to Level 7 or 8 in Applied Social Studies or a related discipline.
- Social Care Leaders require a minimum of two years' experience working with children and young people in a social care context.
- While experience with vulnerable young people is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
- Possession of a full driving license and access to a car.
- Willingness and flexibility to work 24-hour shifts.
