Role & Responsibilities
- Possess expert-level, hands-on proficiency with the Snowflake platform encompassing data warehouse schema design, clustering techniques, partitioning strategies, and query performance optimization.
- Practical experience utilizing DBT for modular data transformations and implementing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows.
- Managing Snowpipe for automated, real-time data ingestion processes.
- Using Streams and Tasks features to enable change data capture (CDC) workflows and orchestrate complex data pipelines.
- Strong coding skills in SQL and Python applied to data engineering and automation tasks.
- Designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakehouse architectures, and effective data modeling practices.
- Expertise in performance tuning, caching strategies, and optimization of large-scale data pipelines to ensure efficiency.
- Experience with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipeline setups, and version control systems such as Git for deployments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform concerning storage and compute resources.
- Comprehensive understanding of security protocols, role-based access control (RBAC), and regulatory compliance standards.
- Capability to establish and define technical best practices, standards, and reusable solution components.
