Role Overview
The Snack Bar Attendant operates various food and beverage points including the Burger Bar, Slice N Dice, the TDR, and/or the Coffee Shop during assigned shifts. This role requires proficiency in cash handling, operating coffee and food service machinery, and may include alcohol service. The position involves light food preparation alongside extensive customer service responsibilities. All tasks adhere strictly to Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies, internal controls, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive promptly in proper uniform, appearing well-groomed with badge worn on the upper left side.
- Deliver fast, courteous, and friendly food and beverage service to guests.
- Maintain a hospitable demeanor and positive body language when interacting with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Adhere to all cash handling procedures and policies.
- Follow all safety and sanitation rules consistent with Seneca Nation Health codes and the Casino Risk Management guidelines.
- Maintain current knowledge of information security policies including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy and comply at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service communicating professionally and pleasantly with patrons and staff.
- Uphold a professional work environment in interactions with supervisors, managers, and other employees.
- Meet job attendance requirements and comply with all regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Complete all required Seneca Gaming Corporation training programs within nine months from the start date.
- Participate in all required meetings.
- Adapt to changing duties, responsibilities, and expectations as necessary. Work hours follow a 24-hour schedule.
Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old at employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior limited experience in cash handling, coffee shop operations, and food production is required.
- Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
Communication and Reasoning Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Able to compose routine correspondence and communicate effectively with the public, coworkers, and customers.
- Capability to interact positively and effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Competence in resolving conflicts and problems tactfully and diplomatically.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements

- Handle a moderately loud workplace environment, with higher noise levels on the casino floor.
- Work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
- Ability to stand, walk, and navigate all casino areas.

- Maintain physical endurance and a positive mental attitude to work efficiently under pressure within a fast-paced casino atmosphere, interacting professionally with diverse stakeholders.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage is $16.00, with potential negotiation based on experience and education. Minimum qualifications vary by position; some requirements may be waived in the absence of fully qualified applicants.
