Job Overview
Join Techwave's team working on advanced electric power networks as a Smallworld GIS Engineer. This role focuses on maintaining Geographic Information System (GIS) data for electric distribution networks and requires involvement in data accuracy and network topology management.
Responsibilities
- Maintain electric utility GIS data utilizing GE Smallworld, interpret as-built, design, and construction documents, and understand electric distribution network assets, connectivity, topology, and GIS data modeling standards.
- Update and manage electric network data within GE Smallworld applications, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with utility standards and processes.
- Support electric utility data maintenance including processing design modifications, integrating as-built data, validating asset data, correcting network connections, and conducting quality assurance.
- Analyze engineering drawings, work orders, construction documentation, and field annotations for precise GIS network record updates.
