Job Summary
As a Sitework Estimator, your main responsibility will be to develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects involving site work and demolition. You will collaborate closely with project managers and assist in all bidding and preconstruction activities to help bring projects to fruition.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for sitework and demolition projects.
- Assess subcontractor and supplier bids ensuring they align with project requirements.
- Utilize estimating software such as HCSS Heavybid to produce accurate bids.
- Partner with project managers and other team members during the preconstruction process, sharing expertise.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, conduct site visits, and participate in estimate reviews.
- Monitor and update project costs, revising estimates as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Support contract negotiation and awarding procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in estimating construction costs, especially for sitework and demolition.
- Strong background in preconstruction procedures and competitive bidding.
- Proficiency in HCSS Heavybid or similar estimating software.
- High analytical and mathematical aptitude with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team environment.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and implement solutions.
- Sound understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Capability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.

- Competitive base salary ranging from $105,000 to $175,000 annually.
