Job Overview
We are recruiting a dependable and practical Site Services Officer to join our team at Inspire Education Trust. This full-time, permanent position involves supporting the smooth running of school facilities within Coventry and Warwickshire, mainly based at Clifford Bridge Academy with possible duties at other Trust schools. The role entails maintaining a safe, secure, and clean learning environment by managing premises opening and closing, routine maintenance, waste disposal, emergency response, and health and safety inspections. Flexibility is required to cover sickness and adapt to future organizational changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage opening and closing of school premises daily ensuring security
- Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks including minor electrical, plumbing, plastering, gardening, carpentry, and glazing jobs
- Handle waste management and porterage duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls regarding site issues
- Conduct regular health and safety checks and uphold safety standards
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and security to safeguard all individuals on site
- Demonstrate flexibility to work across multiple schools within the Inspire Education Trust
Candidate Requirements
- Personable and approachable with good communication skills
- Physically capable to undertake manual and sometimes demanding tasks
- Experience or ability to carry out basic trades such as electrical, building, plastering, plumbing, gardening, carpentry, and glazing
- Must hold a full, clean driving licence
- Commitment to safeguarding children and familiarity with child protection policies following KCSIE guidelines

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, year-round.
Salary: £25,989 to £29,540 annually plus shift allowance, aligned with Support Staff Pay Scale Grade 4.
