Job description
Overview
Wolverhampton Homes Ltd is seeking a dependable and customer-oriented Concierge Officer to join their team in Wolverhampton. This permanent full-time position involves working 37 hours weekly on a rotating schedule including weekends and bank holidays, with shifts from 6am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm. The role is focused on maintaining safe, clean, and secure living environments across flatted estates by providing a visible, supportive presence and handling daily operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections of communal spaces to identify and report repairs, hazards, and fire safety issues.
- Clean and upkeep communal internal and external areas to ensure high standards.
- Remove potential dangers and maintain a welcoming estate atmosphere.
- Clear refuse chutes and address any blockages effectively.
- Maintain a professional and helpful presence visible to customers at all times.
- Respond promptly to residents’ inquiries and requests for assistance.
- Support vulnerable individuals by directing them to appropriate services.
- Monitor and report any anti-social behaviour or tenancy concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to resolve community issues.
- Contribute actively to the safety, security, and overall upkeep of estates and buildings.

- Ability to communicate confidently and foster positive relationships with residents.
- Commitment to maintaining excellent cleanliness and safety standards.
- Capacity to work independently while managing workload efficiently.
