Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Leader with a robust background in software engineering to establish and guide PatSnap’s SRE team based in Singapore. This role involves both leadership and direct technical engagement to enhance the stability, security, and scalability of our global SaaS platform, while spearheading automation, internal tools, and the application of AI technologies across engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, grow, and lead the Singapore SRE team, setting technical vision and prioritizing delivery objectives.
- Enhance the reliability, security, scalability, and efficiency of our worldwide SaaS offerings.
- Lead full lifecycle technical projects, actively participating in design, development, and deployment stages.
- Develop internal platforms, automated solutions, and developer tools to tackle systemic challenges and reduce manual efforts.
- Implement and maintain round-the-clock on-call rotations, engage in incident response, and drive post-incident enhancements.
- Enforce service governance, improve observability, meet reliability benchmarks, and ensure safe release processes.
- Identify and integrate AI-powered tools to boost engineering productivity, quality, and platform stability.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and security teams across multiple locations including Singapore and China.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years in software development, platform engineering, SRE, or a related discipline, including team leadership experience.
- Proficient programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript, with a track record of delivering software projects end-to-end.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems, architectures for high availability, and SaaS platform operations.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, production operations, observability tools, and incident management.
- Practical experience leveraging AI tools or agents in engineering contexts, with capability to verify output quality and institutionalize effective practices.
- Excellent technical decision-making, ownership mentality, strong communication, and skills in mentoring engineers and leading cross-team projects.
- Chinese language skills are a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in creating internal platforms, developer tools, or AI-driven software from inception.
- Involvement with open-source software contributions or maintenance.
- Successful track record of implementing AI-enabled tools or workflows broadly used by engineering groups.
