Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (Level 2) with over 8 years of experience to join our team in Noida or via hybrid work mode. This full-time position involves maintaining and enhancing the reliability and performance of cloud applications, primarily hosted on Microsoft Azure. The candidate will engage in in-depth monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and collaboration with development and infrastructure teams to maximize uptime and system observability.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor, diagnose, and provide support for production applications hosted on Microsoft Azure.
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting of application and infrastructure-related incidents end-to-end.
- Use Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Dynatrace to investigate alerts and resolve production issues.
- Analyze logs and telemetry data via Kusto Query Language (KQL) and Dynatrace Query Language (DQL).
- Manage and troubleshoot services such as Azure API Management (APIM), Azure Functions, and Azure Service Bus.
- Trace requests across APIs, functions, messaging services, and back-end components to identify root causes of application failures.
- Set up and maintain alerts, dashboards, and monitoring protocols to enable proactive incident detection.
- Leverage Dynatrace functionalities like Smartscape, Distributed Tracing, Synthetic Monitoring, and Davis AI to assess performance metrics.
- Participate in production on-call rotations and handle priority P1/P2 incidents effectively.
- Take the lead in technical troubleshooting during critical incidents and coordinate with other teams for rapid resolution.
- Create detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and propose preventive strategies.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps, Application Development, and Cloud Infrastructure teams to enhance platform reliability and observability.
- Support ongoing service improvements through automation and operational excellence practices.
Technical Requirements
- In-depth experience with Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Alerts & Action Groups, and Azure Portal.
- Proficient in observability and monitoring tools, particularly Dynatrace (Smartscape, Problems & Events Feed, Distributed Tracing, Synthetic Monitoring) and Dynatrace Query Language (DQL).
- Familiarity with alternative monitoring platforms such as New Relic and Datadog is acceptable.
- Strong knowledge in incident management including production support, handling P1/P2 incidents, major incident management, root cause analysis, problem management, SLA adherence, and on-call support.
- Technical expertise with REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, JSON formatting, OAuth/JWT authentication, API request and response flows, Azure Functions lifecycle, microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, and messaging via Azure Service Bus.
