Site Reliability Engineer - Google Cloud Platform

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team virtually. The ideal candidate will have over eight years of professional experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Operations, or Production Support, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Deep hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform services to drive scalable and reliable cloud solutions.
• Extensive expertise in Kubernetes, particularly containerized deployments using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Proficient in Terraform, including building modules, managing remote state, implementing reusable infrastructure patterns, and automating workflows.
• Software development experience supporting or creating applications using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of Linux system administration, networking concepts, shell scripting, and automation tooling.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms such as Google Cloud Operations Suite, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, and Datadog.
• Strong grasp of cloud networking components including load balancing, DNS, Identity and Access Management (IAM), secrets management, and security enforcement.
• Practical experience in incident and problem management, production support, and performing root cause analysis to maintain service reliability.
• Outstanding troubleshooting abilities coupled with effective communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
