Job Responsibilities

• Conduct SAP standard application benchmarks for modules including SAP SD (Sales & Distribution), SAP BW (Business Warehouse), SAP SFS (SuccessFactors), and SAP Q2C (Quote to Cash).
• Set up and validate SAP benchmarking environments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Execute benchmark test cycles and verify the validity of outcomes.
• Investigate and analyze any benchmark failures or performance deviations.
• Submit benchmarking outcomes to the SAP Benchmark Council for publication.
• Configure Dell PowerEdge platforms (15G through 18G) including BIOS optimization, CPU, memory, and firmware tuning, as well as hardware sizing and benchmark readiness reviews.
• Perform performance analyses and capacity validations related to SAP workloads, including Linux kernel tuning, regression testing, and memory tuning on SUSE and Red Hat platforms.
• Configure and validate SAP HANA environments on PowerMax, PowerStore, PowerFlex, PowerVault, and Unity storage systems, including latency, throughput, and IOPS analysis, along with storage layout optimization for benchmark performance.
• Verify SAP HANA TDI and enterprise storage requirements; support benchmark submissions for enterprise storage solutions.
• Configure, validate, and perform performance analysis of SAP workloads running on VxRail, VMware vSAN, and Nutanix; contribute to SAP HCI certification and benchmark activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completed university degree.
• At least 10 years of professional experience.
• Deep expertise in SAP HANA benchmarking and experience within SAP certification environments.
• Solid knowledge of Dell infrastructure.
• Strong familiarity with SAP HANA technology.
• Proficient with Linux environments, specifically SUSE and Red Hat.
• Experience in enterprise infrastructure contexts.
• Expertise in performance engineering and comprehensive understanding of SAP benchmarking methodologies.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with SAP, infrastructure providers, lab teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Experience preparing benchmark reports, technical documentation, best practice guidelines, and benchmark execution manuals is advantageous.
• Familiarity with preparing SAP submission packages and responding to SAP Benchmark Council inquiries is a plus.
• Maintenance of benchmark runbooks and operational procedures is beneficial.
• Fluency in both German and English at a negotiation level.
• Willingness to travel across Germany as required.
