AWS DevOps Engineer with Terraform Expertise

Role Overview

This position requires a seasoned AWS Developer with approximately six years of experience, specializing in serverless architectures and cloud-native development. The candidate will be deeply involved in designing and implementing AWS Lambda functions primarily using Python and Node.js, as well as managing complex workflows with AWS Step Functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver innovative cloud-native serverless applications to support Edge Modernisation initiatives.
• Create AWS Lambda functions to execute business processes, system integrations, and event-driven workloads.
• Orchestrate provisioning and migration sequences leveraging AWS Step Functions to streamline operational workflows.
• Implement scalable and loosely coupled integrations by utilizing Amazon EventBridge and Amazon SQS services.
• Integrate telecom and broadband provisioning systems with AWS cloud solutions effectively.
• Maintain and monitor deployed applications through AWS CloudWatch for logging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate actively with system architects, DevOps teams, and other departments to ensure delivery of high-caliber solutions.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to support iterative development.
• Manage production deployments and ensure timely issue resolution in adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Essential Skills and Experience

• At least six years of hands-on AWS development experience with a strong emphasis on serverless and cloud-native application design.
• Proficient in developing AWS Lambda functions using Python and Node.js.
• Skilled in orchestrating workflows with AWS Step Functions.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures through Amazon EventBridge and SQS services.
• Practical experience in migrating On-Premises systems to AWS Cloud, preferably related to Edge Modernization projects.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of various AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, EventBridge, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Functional understanding of Telecommunication and Broadband provisioning systems and their integration requirements.
• Experience operating within Agile and Scrum project frameworks.
• Competent using Visual Studio Code as the integrated development environment (IDE).
• Strong analytical thinking, excellent communication capabilities, and adept at problem-solving.
