Technical Architect

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Architect to lead the complete technical architecture strategy for our ERP (specifically Microsoft Business Central), Warehouse Management System (WMS), and e-commerce platforms. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless integration and robust data governance across multiple business entities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of end-to-end technical architecture across ERP, WMS, and e-commerce systems.
• Plan, design and manage integrations between Microsoft Business Central, WMS, Shopify, and various marketplace/EDI platforms.
• Lead the assessment and deployment of new system integrations while ensuring accurate data transfer, inventory movements, and order workflows from the outset.
• Configure and govern middleware or integration solutions to maintain consistent, reliable data flow, minimizing fragile point-to-point connections.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and architectural standards for multiple brands and entities to safeguard data security.
• Serve as the escalation expert for complex integration and technical issues affecting ERP, WMS, and e-commerce environments.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation covering system architecture, integration workflows, and system dependencies.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including finance, supply chain, and e-commerce to translate business needs into effective technical implementations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least 7 years in IT architecture roles with a solid, hands-on foundation in ERP systems, notably Microsoft Business Central or equivalents.
• Demonstrated experience designing integrations between ERP and Warehouse Management Systems.
• Expertise in middleware and integration platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, or comparable iPaaS technologies to interlink ERP, WMS, and e-commerce platforms efficiently.
• Familiarity with EDI and marketplace integrations, including platforms like Frasers, Zalando, and large department stores.
• In-depth understanding of stock control, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms—preferably Shopify—and their integration with ERP and WMS.
• Proven ability in managing external vendor partnerships for technical project delivery.
• Excellent documentation capabilities along with clear communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Proficient in English communication.

Preferred Expertise

• Background in fashion, apparel, or multi-brand retail sectors.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems.
• Experience managing operations across multiple legal jurisdictions or regions.
