Job Overview
The Senior Landscape Engineer position is integral to the QA GEC Supervision unit, responsible for managing the full scope of landscape and public realm activities within GEC Framework projects. This role ensures meticulous adherence to design specifications, quality benchmarks, environmental standards, and client requirements throughout project execution. Collaboration with professional teams is key to maintaining safety and promoting sustainable construction practices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the review of landscape design, offering expert advice to guarantee alignment with project objectives.
- Oversee construction operations through frequent site inspections to uphold quality and safety.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers ensuring timely procurement and service delivery.
- Work jointly with project teams to troubleshoot technical issues and devise innovative landscape solutions.
- Perform comprehensive inspections and tests to confirm compliance with applicable standards.
- Document and maintain accurate records and reports related to landscape projects.
- Enforce adherence to environmental regulations, fostering sustainability throughout the build process.
- Keep clients informed regularly on project status and critical developments.
- Mentor junior engineering staff, promoting ongoing professional development.
- Continuously update knowledge on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in landscape engineering.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or similar discipline.
- At least 8 years of landscape design, construction, and supervision experience demonstrating successful project completions.
- Skilled in landscape design software and CAD applications.
- Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry criteria.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, capable of effective teamwork in diverse settings.
- Self-directed with the capacity to juggle multiple projects under strict deadlines.
- Hold a valid professional engineering license or equivalent certification.
- Experience on large-scale infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Knowledgeable in sustainable design practices and committed to environmental stewardship.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when necessary.
- Mandatory MMUP registration.
