Job Overview
WSP Middle East is actively seeking an experienced Senior Architect (Technical) to join their expanding Technical Architecture Team within the Property & Buildings Business Unit located in the UAE. This role offers an exceptional chance for an architect with a strong technical background and over eight years of experience to contribute to significant and complex projects across the Middle East region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the comprehensive technical development and execution of architectural projects from conceptual stages through to construction completion.
- Prepare, thoroughly review, and coordinate detailed design documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Ensure all designs meet the requirements of local authorities, adhere to international standards, and conform to project-specific guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams such as Structural, MEP, Landscape, Interior Design, and specialist consultants to guarantee smooth coordination.
- Facilitate BIM adoption and coordinate technical design aspects across various projects.
- Examine and approve shop drawings, material submissions, requests for information, and resolve technical issues during the construction phase.
- Uphold high standards of technical quality, design coherence, and excellence in project outputs.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and staff within the technical team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
- A minimum of eight years in professional architectural roles, focusing on technical design and project delivery.
- Demonstrated experience working within leading architecture, engineering, or multidisciplinary consultancy firms.
- Proficiency in Revit, BIM workflows, AutoCAD, and the preparation of construction documentation.
- Strong skills in coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with projects in the Middle East is considered highly advantageous.
