Site Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Site Engineer to oversee daily execution and supervision of various highway maintenance activities on the NHAI Annual Maintenance Project spanning 32.6 km along Chennai Bypass Road.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage routine highway upkeep including road shoulder maintenance, vegetation and drain cleaning, and upkeep of road furniture such as crash barriers, signage, and painting.
• Handle minor civil and bituminous repairs to ensure consistent road conditions.
• Coordinate and oversee deployment of labour and machinery on site effectively.
• Perform site measurements and maintain detailed daily records of work performed.
• Monitor work quality and progress to meet project standards and deadlines.
• Liaise with subcontractors and vendors to manage on-site activities smoothly.
• Ensure adherence to guidelines and timely compliance with directions from NHAI and project engineers.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma or B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering.
• Preferably 2 to 6 years of practical experience in highway construction or maintenance.
• Strong hands-on skills in site execution with the capability to independently oversee several maintenance tasks along the highway corridor.
