Job description
Position Overview
The Shutdown Planner is a designated professional responsible for overseeing the scheduling, coordination, and implementation of facilities shutdowns and configuration changes. These activities support planned maintenance and construction projects at JDFPG. This role emphasizes creating systematic and controlled transition strategies from standard to non-standard critical infrastructure configurations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation, review, and update of configuration and procedural documents.
- Organize and manage tasks related to critical infrastructure configuration changes.
- Develop and maintain documentation reflecting standard facility configurations.
- Provide expert technical evaluation and guidance on infrastructure changes from initial concepts to finalized IFC designs.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication to clarify requirements and impacts.
- Implement change management strategies for critical infrastructure systems.
- Integrate and disseminate technical data, advice, and recommendations concerning facility infrastructure and equipment.
- Offer technical insights on system reliability, operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure strict adherence to all environmental, health, and safety policies at the site.
- Conduct additional reasonable duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Licenses
- Mandatory: Certificate IV, Electrical/HVAC Trades Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
- Desirable: Project Management qualifications, post-graduate education, or related discipline expertise.
- Required licenses: Driver's license.
- Preferred licenses: CPR certification, Australian White Card, First Aid qualification.
Experience and Skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities.
- Current knowledge in power generation/distribution, load management, and data centre power systems.
- Experience with configuration management, building control systems, and facility operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with HVAC, project management, and leadership roles.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Ability to independently lift up to 10 kg.
Security Clearance
Employment requires obtaining and maintaining the relevant security and medical clearances, which may include Australian Department of Defense TSPV clearance or U.S. TS/SCI clearance.
Additional Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Fluent proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking.
- Commitment to compliance with site Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) procedures, including the right and responsibility to stop unsafe work.
- Adherence to the OASIS Quality Program, ensuring all job activities meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Strict compliance with operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements as per applicable plans, procedures, and policies.
