Job Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Showroom Team Member for PlaceMakers New Lynn in Auckland. Working every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, you will be the first point of contact and a trusted advisor for our valued building trade customers. Your role will focus on providing tailored product recommendations, sharing expertise, and fostering a positive customer experience that encourages repeat business.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact face-to-face with customers to recommend products that meet their specific needs and preferences.
- Handle sales transactions and returns efficiently at the trade counter.
- Manage merchandising and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Support in-store promotional activities and set up displays as needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness and uphold safety standards through general housekeeping duties.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing or trade retail sales environment is preferred.
- Possess a strong work ethic coupled with a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Dedicated to providing exceptional service to all customers.
- Exhibit keen attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with using technology and navigating multiple computer systems.
- Knowledge of building products is advantageous but not mandatory.
