Shipping Specialist

Overview

As a Shipping Specialist based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, you will oversee and manage both local and international shipping processes. Your role is vital in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of shipments by coordinating with various stakeholders including suppliers, shipping companies, warehouses, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the tracking and follow-up of shipments from suppliers until receipt at the warehouse.
• Collaborate actively with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping companies to maintain punctual deliveries.
• Monitor shipment timelines, including departure and arrival dates, keeping all updates precise and current.
• Work closely with the warehouse team to facilitate smooth receipt and verify shipment quantities.
• Address and resolve any shipment delays or operational challenges in coordination with concerned parties.
• Update shipment statuses and related details within the ERP system consistently.
• Liaise effectively with Procurement, Warehouse, Inventory, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Keep track of shipping costs, request quotations, and verify invoices for accuracy.
• Manage customs clearance processes and shipping requirements when applicable.
• Prepare detailed periodic reports summarizing shipment progress, any delays, costs incurred, and operational issues encountered.
• Evaluate and monitor the performance of shipping companies and service providers to ensure quality service.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized records related to all shipping activities.
• Contribute to enhancing shipping efficiency, reducing lead times, and controlling operational expenses.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
