Job description
Position Overview
This full-time, permanent Shipping Clerk position is based in Epping, Victoria, at the Melbourne Assembly Plant. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role manages the entire shipping process from packaging to final dispatch.
Primary Responsibilities
- Input shipment details into carrier platforms such as TNT, DHL, and Rhenus.
- Enter and verify data in internal company systems.
- Attach all required shipping documentation to orders.
- Coordinate shipment carriers and oversee truck loading activities.
- Perform end-of-day system reconciliations.
- Transfer completed belts from Assembly to Shipping and consolidate shipments accordingly.
- Pack and process orders to ensure timely dispatch.
- Guarantee all orders are shipped on or before their scheduled dates.
- Carry out housekeeping tasks as necessary.
- Demonstrate teamwork and maintain self-management.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with shipping background.
- Mandatory Forklift LF Licence.
- Familiarity with the Oracle operating system is advantageous; however, training will be provided.
- Self-driven and proactive work attitude.
- Energetic and well-organized individual.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Collaborative team player.
- Willingness to work beyond standard hours occasionally and provide support to other departments as needed.
