About the Role

Red Robin Langley is seeking Shift Leaders to join their team at 19705 Fraser Hwy #530, Langley, BC. This role involves active leadership by working alongside team members to maintain smooth restaurant operations, enhance guest satisfaction, and manage restaurant shifts effectively. Both experienced leaders and motivated restaurant team members aiming to develop management skills are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support opening, closing, and peak business shifts.
• Assist servers, hosts, kitchen personnel, and other team members as needed.
• Maintain organization and smooth operations throughout each shift.
• Provide coaching and real-time support to team members.
• Prioritize tasks to ensure team focus during busy periods.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Uphold food quality, hospitality standards, cleanliness, and operational protocols.
• Ensure adherence to food safety and workplace safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with managers regarding staffing, guest feedback, and operational needs.
• Foster a respectful and positive team environment through leading by example.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in restaurant, hospitality, or a customer-centered environment
• Comfortable accepting responsibility and providing team leadership
• Effective communicator, adept at working with diverse personalities
• Organized and capable of balancing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Calm under pressure with sound decision-making skills during busy shifts
• Dependable, accountable, and committed to leading by example
• Passionate about coaching and supporting fellow team members
• Dedicated to delivering excellent guest service and operational excellence
• Available for a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Additional Information

Previous leadership roles such as Shift Leader, Shift Supervisor, Lead Server, Lead Cook, or Supervisor are advantageous. The position offers flexibility allowing the opportunity to work in other trained restaurant roles alongside shift leader duties, ideal for those wanting to maintain hands-on guest or kitchen engagement while developing leadership skills.
