About the Role
As a Shift Leader at Panda Restaurant Group, you will play a vital leadership role in bringing the company’s mission to life by supporting management in delivering quality food, heartfelt service, and an inviting atmosphere. You will help create a lively and hospitable environment for guests, manage store operations during your shift, and gain hands-on experience preparing Panda’s signature dishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining an energetic and welcoming atmosphere for customers.
- Take charge of daily store operations and lead the team during your shift.
- Participate actively in cooking and preparing menu items.
- Develop a broad range of skills both personally and for team members.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least some high school education.
- Previous experience in operations is preferred.
- Compliance with local food safety regulations, including food handler certification at the applicant’s expense.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Working areas often involve heat from steam and food vapors. The kitchen and service areas can be noisy and cramped, requiring employees to stand for extended periods, sometimes up to four hours. Tasks involve using kitchen tools such as Chinese cook knives and lifting up to 50 pounds. Employees must handle a fast-paced, dynamic workplace with good communication skills and adapt easily to changes and challenging situations.
