Service Technician - Electrical

Overview

Our client, a Singapore-based engineering firm specializing in truck-mounted lifting equipment such as cranes, hooklifts, tail lifts, and waste-management systems, is hiring a Service Technician. The company offers comprehensive services including equipment supply, installation, fabrication, maintenance, repair, inspection, and technical support.

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, service, and maintain electrical and mechanical components of commercial vehicles, lifting devices, industrial machinery, and associated systems.
• Diagnose and fix electrical components including wiring, sensors, switches, controllers, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, equipment testing, commissioning, and servicing tasks.
• Provide technical assistance both within the workshop and on-site as necessary.
• Conduct inspections, functional tests, and quality assurance checks to guarantee operational safety and reliability of equipment.
• Document service activities, maintenance logs, repair work, and prepare relevant technical reports.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to identify equipment faults and deliver effective solutions.
• Adhere strictly to company procedures, manufacturer guidelines, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Keep detailed records of activities performed and promptly report any safety or equipment issues.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in maintaining or repairing heavy or commercial vehicles, automotive or lifting equipment, industrial machinery, or related mechanical/electrical systems is preferred.
• Solid understanding of 12V and 24V DC electrical systems, electrical wiring, testing, and fault diagnosis.
• Hands-on expertise in diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical issues.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems is considered advantageous.
• Familiarity with using multimeters, diagnostic tools, electrical testers, and other servicing equipment.
• Capability to function effectively in both workshop and out-in-the-field service roles.
• Motivated to continuously enhance technical knowledge and skills.

Additional Information

• Location: Tuas, West Region, Singapore
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Basic Salary: Up to SGD 4500 per month plus performance bonus
