Senior Quantity Surveyor

Position Overview

This role is based in Singapore and requires an experienced Quantity Surveyor to deliver comprehensive cost management and quantity surveying services for significant construction and fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer end-to-end cost planning, estimating, budgeting, tendering, cost control, and commercial reporting throughout the entire project duration.
• Deliver cost management solutions encompassing both MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and builders' works.
• Develop and evaluate cost plans, estimates, tender documents, valuations, and cost status reports.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and global stakeholders to ensure sound cost governance.
• Assist with project due diligence, capital expenditure (Capex) planning, Life Cycle Costing (LCC), and Capital Allowances assessments.
• Track project costs continuously and provide commercial guidance to guarantee projects remain within approved budgets.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, MEP Engineering, or related fields.
• At least eight years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consultancy within Singapore, including a minimum of three years handling mission-critical projects locally.
• Experience of two to three years working specifically with QS or cost consultancy firms in Singapore.
• Proven involvement in at least two project types such as commercial buildings, corporate real estate or office fit-outs for multinational corporations, advanced manufacturing facilities, or research & development/laboratory projects.
• Hands-on management of projects valued between SGD 5 million and 10 million or higher.
• Solid expertise in cost management for both MEP and builders’ works.
• Familiarity with cost management software like BIM, CostX, or Glodon.
• Understanding of Capital Allowances, Capex investment evaluation, LCC, and due diligence reporting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities, especially in engaging with international partners.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Possession of RICS or SISV accreditation is an advantage.
• Preference given to candidates based in Singapore or Singapore Citizens.
