Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Service Technician to join our team focused on servicing Automatic and Industrial doors. This role primarily handles breakdown repairs and significant maintenance work on Industrial Doors and Specialty Products. Additionally, you may assist with the commissioning and installation of other dormakaba products.
Our service commitment operates 24/7, so you will participate in a rotational after-hours on-call schedule to support our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose electrical faults, and address breakdown repairs on automatic doors and access solutions.
- Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining positive onsite relationships.
- Accurately complete service reports and documentation using service management systems and mobile apps.
- Operate independently within your service region, upholding safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Electrical Licence or a robust background in electrical service.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills appropriate for service settings.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Effective communication abilities and excellent interpersonal skills to provide superior customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automatic doors, roller doors, access control solutions, or industrial electrical equipment is highly valued.
- Background in field service or customer-facing technical roles.
- Knowledge of electrical safety protocols and preventive maintenance techniques.
- Possession of Electric Appliance Service Person Licence (EAS).
- Electrical Service Technician (EST) Licence is highly desirable.
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence is an advantage.
