Job Overview
The Service Manager role at Evostel involves leading the electrical services division, ensuring comprehensive management and delivery of engineering, field services, testing & commissioning, retrofit projects, maintenance, and technical consulting for power distribution and industrial electrical systems. This position oversees every phase of projects and services from pre-bid support through closure, prioritizing technical quality, operational efficiency, safety, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth while facilitating the company's strategic expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business development and sales teams by identifying service opportunities across industrial, utility, infrastructure, and commercial sectors, leading technical discussions, reviewing tenders and project specs, and preparing technical and commercial proposals.
- Provide engineering leadership including overseeing power distribution, protection systems, and electrical installations ensuring compliance with international and local standards such as IEC, IEEE, Saudi Electricity, Aramco, and SABIC.
- Supervise field service execution by planning resources, managing site teams, monitoring progress, quality, safety, and budgets, promoting strong customer engagement.
- Manage specific core service areas including onsite supervision of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, MCCs, substation equipment, and industrial networks; testing and commissioning activities; retrofit and modernization projects; comprehensive fault analysis and maintenance services; and power system studies.
- Develop project execution plans, monitor milestones, manage risks, and ensure delivery on time and budget with thorough reporting and project closures.
- Champion quality, health, safety, and environmental standards, fostering safety culture, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring all team members maintain qualifications and training.
- Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams establishing KPIs, encouraging collaboration, and spearheading training and growth initiatives.
- Oversee financial and operational aspects including budget management, enhancing profitability, productivity, and supporting annual business planning and growth strategies focused on expanding recurring revenues.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Between 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering and field services.
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Profound expertise in MV/LV power distribution, protection systems, testing, commissioning, and industrial electrical projects.
- Experience serving key industrial clients like Aramco, SABIC, SEC, Royal Commission, petrochemical plants, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.
- Demonstrated ability managing engineering and field service teams effectively.
