About the Role
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a growing company specializing in industrial 3D printing and additive manufacturing, based in Cork, Ireland. This role is ideal for engineers eager to advance their careers within the rapidly expanding field of 3D printing and advanced manufacturing technologies. Comprehensive training and mentoring will be provided.
The position primarily involves onsite work at a key customer location, with occasional travel to other regional sites. It provides valuable opportunities to gain hands-on experience with industrial equipment, engage in customer-focused engineering tasks, and deepen technical knowledge in additive manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of 3D printing systems.
- Support troubleshooting and diagnosis of technical faults.
- Provide customers with assistance regarding technical inquiries and system use.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers to enhance technical proficiency.
- Perform preventative maintenance and servicing activities to ensure optimal system performance.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
- Previous engineering exposure gained through internships, graduate programs, or roles within the industry.
- Demonstrated strong technical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Possession of a full driving license.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with 3D printing or additive manufacturing technologies.
- Hands-on experience with industrial machinery or automated systems.
- Background in customer-facing engineering roles.
- Skills in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical troubleshooting.
