Service Engineer (Fitter)

Overview

Become an essential member of our operational team as a Fitter, responsible for maintaining and repairing our extensive inventory of rental equipment, ensuring it is ready and available for hire.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on all rental assets to keep them safe and operational.
• Proactively work to maximize equipment availability for customers.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns on customer sites as needed.
• Accurately document maintenance activities and adhere to company protocols.
• Follow health and safety guidelines consistently.
• Manage data related to time tracking, spare parts usage, and inventory requirements.
• Participate in stocktaking exercises when required.
• Support branch operations including covering the counter, deliveries, and collections during peak business periods.

Candidate Profile

• Experience working with both mechanical and electrical machinery and tools.
• Organized and methodical work style with a focus on quality delivery.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Comfortable utilizing IT equipment in daily tasks.
• A proactive 'can do' mindset willing to assist across multiple branch functions.
• Possession of mechanical or electrical qualifications is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Possession of a valid driving license is essential.
