Server Engineer (AI Cluster/GPU)

Overview

We are seeking a Server Engineer specializing in AI clusters and GPU technology to oversee the comprehensive management of data center servers. This role involves responsibilities spanning from initial system design to deployment, tuning, and ongoing maintenance of high-performance computing (HPC) and AI clusters.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of data center servers including designing, deploying, optimizing performance, validating, and maintaining HPC/AI clusters.
• Lead deployment efforts for diverse computing resources such as GPUs and XPUs to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Maintain consistent monitoring and operation of server functions to ensure stability and efficiency.
• Develop technical documentation and provide customer support to facilitate smooth operations.
• Create and maintain automation scripts utilizing Shell, Python, and Ansible to streamline processes.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum of five years practical experience managing and constructing extensive HPC clusters consisting of thousands of GPUs.
• Deep understanding of GPU hardware architectures and expertise in parallel computing frameworks like MPI and OpenMP.
• Proficient knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies.
• Hands-on experience with high-performance benchmarks such as HPL and NCCL.
• Familiarity with high-performance file systems including Lustre and GPFS is required.
• Possession of HPC-related certifications is advantageous.
• Professional-level proficiency in English is mandatory to communicate effectively in the role.
