Role Overview

We are currently recruiting an In Room Dining (IRD) Assistant Server to contribute to our skilled and dynamic team at The Pearl-Qatar. This position demands ownership, quick interpersonal connection, confidence, adaptability, and commitment to delivering top-quality guest experiences.

Key Duties

• Warmly welcome guests by name and vividly describe menu items, including origin, flavor, and preparation methods; explain options regarding tray and dishware removal; efficiently handle tray removals within designated timeframes.
• Disassemble, clean, and reset room service tables, condiments, flatware, dishware, and side stations.
• Anticipate and respond proactively to guest needs; assess satisfaction and make suggestions; address guest requests and concerns promptly and appropriately.
• Accurately close guest bills, securing room numbers and signatures, and correctly handle voided or complimentary meal transactions.
• Take guest orders in the absence of the primary order taker.
• Prepare and plate small food items.
• Assist with food service delivery.
• Help with operational setup and cleaning tasks.
• Support food and beverage operations during busy periods or staff absences.
• Maintain cleanliness of private bars, bar carts, and storage areas.
• Stock and replenish ice in guest rooms as needed.
• Respect guests' privacy while on room floors.
• Minimize breakages of items and report any unusual incidents or persons observed on guest floors.
• Respond appropriately to hotel emergencies or safety situations.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in hospitality or food service roles.
• Strong command of English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
• A deep passion for luxury hospitality service with keen attention to detail.
