Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Design Verification Engineer to join our integrated circuit development team to ensure the functional accuracy and robustness of complex digital systems. This role involves collaborating with design and verification teams to develop comprehensive verification environments, implement test plans, and support the production of high-quality silicon designs through systematic, coverage-driven verification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply verification techniques using UVM, SystemVerilog, Verilog, and SystemVerilog Assertions to verify IC designs.
• Build advanced verification environments incorporating methodologies such as co-simulation, system emulation, mixed-mode simulation, and leveraging tools like Palladium, HAPS, and Zebu platforms.
• Understand the architecture, interfaces, and functionality of the Design Under Test (DUT) thoroughly.
• Collaborate with design and verification engineers to formulate, review, and refine verification plans in compliance with design specifications.
• Create test cases and stimuli to check functionality and edge cases.
• Conduct simulations and perform detailed RTL debugging using waveform analysis tools.
• Maintain regression test suites to confirm design integrity throughout development iterations.
• Monitor and work to improve functional and code coverage metrics to facilitate verification closure.
• Document verification activities, including test cases, results, and coverage reports to support formal verification sign-offs.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts, reusable verification components, and Verification IP to boost team efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
• Strong knowledge of digital logic design and RTL development, preferably using Verilog or similar Hardware Description Languages.
• Experience with AMBA bus protocols such as AXI, AHB, and APB.
• Proficiency in RTL simulation, debugging, and waveform analysis using standard EDA tools like Synopsys, Cadence, or Siemens EDA/Mentor.
• Expertise in SystemVerilog and modern verification methodologies including UVM.
• Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments with scripting capabilities (Bash, C Shell, Perl, Python) for automation purposes.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN in a cooperative development setting.
• Strong analytical and debugging abilities to effectively resolve RTL and functional issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for clearly documenting verification outcomes.
• Self-driven, attentive to detail, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of advanced technologies such as Networks-on-Chip (NoC), PCIe from Gen-4 onwards, and DRAM memory controller design.
• Use of AI Agents to enhance verification productivity.
• Familiarity with the RISC-V processor architecture or CPU verification concepts.
• Experience programming in C/C++ for testbench development or verification utilities.
• Exposure to coverage-driven verification and continuous regression automation workflows.
