Role Overview

The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) position aims to utilize software engineering techniques to oversee system management, operational problem-solving, and automation to reduce routine manual tasks and enhance service availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of NetEase Interactive Entertainment platforms including titles like Eggy Party, Marvel Rivals, UU Accelerator, Ace Racer, and additional internal research projects.
• Design and select the appropriate runtime infrastructure — servers, virtualization, cloud platforms, networks, databases — according to the architecture, performance and business needs of different game services, ensuring efficient, cost-effective operational service delivery.
• Develop and monitor diverse operational metrics and tailor data analysis standards accordingly.
• Work closely with product teams to identify issues, optimize technical architectures, and improve user experience based on game and infrastructure insights.
• Research advanced open-source software, virtualization technologies, database systems, and web services to create technical solutions suitable for business needs.

Candidate Requirements

• At least a bachelor's degree, ideally in computer science, networking, communications, automation, or related disciplines.
• Strong familiarity with Linux operating systems and well-versed in computer network architectures and protocols such as TCP/IP and HTTP.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C/C++, Shell scripting, Python, Golang, Rust, or Java.
• A passion for open-source technologies; experience with Linux, Nginx, MySQL, Kubernetes, and Istio is highly desirable.
• Excellent logical reasoning, communication, and self-learning skills; strong research and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective collaborator with a sense of collective responsibility, honor, and service awareness.
• Innovative thinker open to experimenting with new technologies, demonstrating outstanding problem-solving talents and technical awareness; contributing to open-source communities is a plus.
• Interest and experience in AI and Large Language Model trends, especially in applying AI for operational tasks such as AIOps analysis, script automation, and root cause analysis; prior involvement in AIOps-related projects or AI tools is advantageous.
• Fluency in Chinese at native or near-native level is essential due to collaboration with partners and stakeholders based in China.
