Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain our web applications powering the e-commerce platform. Collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers, you will convert business needs into performant, secure, and scalable software solutions. Key responsibilities cover creating back-end services and APIs, code reviews, debugging, performance enhancements, and system stability improvements. You will also document technical work, engage in agile processes, and help improve engineering standards. This permanent remote position demands strong communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively in a distributed environment.

Required Qualifications

• Solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Proficiency in software development using at least one modern programming language such as Rust, C++, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with back-end web development, including RESTful API construction, database management, and third-party service integration.
• Comprehensive understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming in production environments.
• Competency with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to produce clean, maintainable, and testable code; familiarity with unit and integration testing approaches is advantageous.
• Ease working in remote, multidisciplinary teams with clear written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or comparable professional experience.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD processes, and foundational security best practices is beneficial but not mandatory.
