Role Overview
This position offers an exceptional opportunity to join a leading global semiconductor organization expanding their CPU and GPU silicon engineering teams at their R&D facility in Cork, Ireland. The successful candidate will contribute to advanced performance verification efforts for GPU architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement tests targeting performance verification objectives.
- Conduct detailed debugging and analysis to resolve performance and architectural bottlenecks within GPU designs, ensuring that coverage and performance targets are met.
- Innovate and apply new verification methodologies centered on performance validation and emulation technologies.
- Utilize a range of tools including hardware-software co-verification, simulation and accelerated simulation, emulation, benchmark analysis, and big-data analytics in daily verification tasks.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of four years of experience in ASIC design, verification, or related engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in test planning, scripting, simulation, debugging, and problem-solving within verification environments.
- Proficiency in hardware description languages and verification frameworks such as SystemVerilog, UVM, Verilog or VHDL, as well as programming in C/C++.
- Experience with constrained random testing techniques, functional coverage development, and design debugging practices.
