Role Overview and Responsibilities
As a Senior UX Researcher within the Product Management team, you will significantly influence enhancing the user experience and usability of all DocuWare’s offerings. You will define and execute impactful research strategies, using various research approaches including foundational, generative, and evaluative studies. Your work will entail planning, conducting, and interpreting research and testing around UX concepts and designs. Collaboration with product managers, designers, developers, and other departments is essential to convert research findings into effective product improvements.
- Plan research projects collaboratively with stakeholders to set strategic goals.
- Manage and perform qualitative and quantitative studies to investigate user ideas, features, and designs.
- Communicate user insights effectively to influence product development decisions.
- Create engaging deliverables such as reports, jobs-to-be-done frameworks, and journey maps to share findings.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive user-centered product evolution.
- Champion user needs and advocate for user-centric design within multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide mentorship to UX researchers, designers, and product managers to cultivate a user research-oriented and data-driven culture.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Psychology, Business Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Market Research, Interaction Design, or similar fields.
- Several years of professional UX research experience in a business-to-business (B2B) setting, ideally including SaaS environments.
- Proven history of collaborating within product development processes alongside design, management, and development teams.
- Strong expertise in various quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, alongside solid understanding of test design, statistics, and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, with strategic thinking to derive meaningful and actionable insights from research data.
- A proactive mindset to seek innovation opportunities and collaborate across multiple stakeholders in product development.
- Passion for user research and ability to effectively communicate its value across diverse parts of an organization.
- Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written.
