About the Role
As a Senior Underwriter specializing in Cyber insurance, you will independently analyze, evaluate, and underwrite complex cyber risks. You will design customized and innovative insurance solutions to meet the demands of a continuously evolving cyber market. Confidently managing contractual and pricing negotiations with brokers, large clients, and other business partners will be integral to your role. You will actively monitor relevant market trends and contribute your specialist knowledge to the strategic and product development of our Cyber portfolio. Collaboration across sales, IT, claims management, and external partners is essential, along with supporting the development and training of underwriting guidelines and sharing your expertise with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently assess and underwrite complex cyber risks.
- Create tailored and innovative insurance products for the dynamic cyber market.
- Lead contract and pricing negotiations confidently with brokers, major clients, and partners.
- Continuously monitor market trends and contribute to strategic and product enhancements of the Cyber portfolio.
- Work closely with sales, IT, claims, and external partners.
- Support underwriting guideline development and train colleagues by sharing your expertise.
Candidate Profile
- Completed degree in Law, Economics, Computer Science, or IT Security.
- Several years of experience as a (Senior) Underwriter in cyber insurance.
- Strong actuarial expertise and analytical skills to assess and optimize IT security measures.
- Decisive and confident handling of complex risks with skilled negotiation capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, able to clearly explain complex topics.
- Independent, structured, and solution-focused work style with a commitment to advancing the division collaboratively.
