Job description
Position Overview
As a Technician at JW Marriott Singapore, you will be tasked with repairing minor plumbing issues, such as clearing blocked drains, plunging toilets, and fixing leaking faucets. You will also carry out various small-scale repairs including tightening loose toilet seats, replacing light bulbs, and patching wall holes. Preventive maintenance activities such as cleaning and lubricating tools and equipment are part of your duties.
Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to all company safety and security protocols and report any hazardous conditions or incidents promptly.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance, safeguard confidential information, and protect company assets.
- Provide courteous and professional guest services, including assistance for guests with disabilities, using clear communication.
- Cultivate positive working relationships by listening and responding appropriately to concerns from colleagues.
- Meet quality standards and expectations in all maintenance activities.
- Perform physical tasks including reaching overhead or below the knees, bending, twisting, lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds independently, and collaborating with others for heavier items exceeding 100 pounds such as air conditioning units and televisions.
- Navigate stairs, service ramps, and ladders safely as required.
- Carry out additional duties as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No prior work experience or supervisory background is required.
- No licenses or certifications are necessary for this position.
