Overview
Cinergie Digital is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to oversee large-scale programmes within airline reservation, inventory, and revenue management domains. This role, based in Dubai, UAE, will involve collaboration with multiple airline clients, external solution providers, GDS partners, and internal technical teams to ensure seamless integration and timely delivery of complex systems such as booking, pricing, availability, and revenue management platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complete delivery lifecycle of airline reservation and revenue management projects, including scoping, estimation, planning, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Simultaneously manage multiple airline customer engagements, maintaining alignment of requirements, schedules, resources, and deliverables without compromising priorities.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors, GDS partners, and technology providers to ensure smooth system integration, clarify ownership of interfaces, and enforce accountability.
- Supervise system migrations, API integrations, EDIFACT/NDC message flows, platform enhancements, and related cutover activities such as data reconciliation and rollback procedures.
- Implement risk management, change control, and continuous stakeholder communication; maintain live risk registers and structured change impact analyses.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards including IATA, PADIS, and NDC, embedding certification and testing phases in project roadmaps.
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications for engineering and product teams and mediate discrepancies between business and technical interpretations.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, project budgets, and delivery outcomes to senior leadership, fostering continuous improvement in delivery methodologies.
Required Skills and Experience
- Comprehensive hands-on experience with airline reservation systems, PSS, GDS connectivity, revenue management, or inventory control platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of EDIFACT and NDC messaging standards, API-based integrations, and experience managing large-scale system migrations.
- Strong familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and an ability to apply blended approaches suitable to specific projects.
- Proven expertise in managing vendors and partners, including multiple parties such as GDS providers and technology suppliers, with an emphasis on governance and accountability.
- Expertise in structured risk, change, and budget management for complex multi-stakeholder programmes, emphasizing proactive risk indicators.
- Awareness of and compliance with IATA, PADIS, and NDC industry standards impacting project scope, certification processes, and scheduling.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies are advantageous.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in project management, preferably involving large enterprises or multi-vendor programmes subject to regulatory and seasonal deadlines.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and senior stakeholder management capabilities, with transparency in escalating challenges promptly and proposing viable solutions.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic airline environments featuring rapidly evolving priorities and strict adherence requirements.
