Senior Configuration Manager

About the Role

Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this role requires on-site leadership for configuration management within a banking project. The Senior Configuration Manager will steer and govern all configuration management processes, ensuring that configuration details are accurate, controlled, and align with business and project standards.

Key Duties

• Direct and manage configuration management activities across the banking project.
• Develop and uphold configuration management policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Define configuration baselines and manage configuration items effectively.
• Ensure configuration data is precise, comprehensive, up-to-date, and well regulated.
• Conduct configuration audits, verification procedures, and compliance checks.
• Liaise with change management teams, technical and project groups, and business stakeholders to coordinate efforts.
• Evaluate the impact of any configuration changes and implement necessary controls.
• Track configuration management effectiveness and deliver reports to senior management.
• Identify and resolve configuration risks, discrepancies, and gaps proactively.
• Maintain detailed configuration management documentation throughout project phases.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to the configuration management team.
• Champion ongoing enhancements to configuration management processes and control mechanisms.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in configuration management roles.
• Extensive background in enterprise and/or banking sector environments.
• Proven leadership capabilities managing configuration management teams or functions.
• In-depth knowledge of governance, control systems, baselines, and audit procedures related to configuration management.
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and team leadership.
• Excellent analytical thinking, organizational aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable collaborating with senior-level stakeholders within complex project contexts.
