Role Overview

The Senior Technical Product Manager will spearhead the development and evolution of MaintainX's unified, real-time, and secure Search platform. This platform powers search functionality across all MaintainX applications, facilitating fast, reliable, and relevant search without requiring repeated development of ingestion, indexing, query sematics, or operational processes.

In this role, you will also directly own at least one complete search workflow, ensuring a strong connection with customer use cases and aligning platform decisions with user needs. Collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Design teams will be key to defining a visionary yet practical roadmap and enabling scalable search experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft and implement a comprehensive vision for a unified search platform across MaintainX applications.
• Manage core search functionalities such as data ingestion, indexing, relevance tuning, query semantics, and system reliability.
• Take ownership of an end-to-end search workflow to maintain close alignment with real-world user requirements.
• Work closely with Engineering and Design to make informed architectural decisions balancing speed and scalability.
• Provide shared frameworks and tools to accelerate product teams’ development and iteration of search features.
• Translate platform strategies and technical concepts into clear, actionable roadmaps.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure search experiences are high-performing, user-friendly, and dependable.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in product management, especially with platform or foundational products used by multiple teams.
• Direct experience with search technologies; AI-powered search expertise is highly valued.
• Strong technical acumen to work closely with engineers on system design, tradeoffs, prioritization, and maintainability.
• A deep understanding and empathy for frontline users, demonstrated by building scalable shared platforms grounded in customer needs.
• Skilled at navigating ambiguous, cross-team challenges, converting vague platform problems into well-defined strategies and roadmaps.
• Experience balancing early user workflow validation with creating robust, scalable foundations.
• Exceptional pattern recognition abilities to apply proven solutions without reinventing existing methods.
• Expert proficiency in English, both spoken and written, required for effective leadership and cross-regional collaboration.
