Job Overview
Yamaha Motor Solutions, an engineering services provider linked with Yamaha Motor Group, is seeking a Senior System Engineer based in Faridabad, India. The company collaborates internationally and supports clients across multiple continents by offering technical services in various engineering domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical assistance for AWS infrastructure, including services such as EC2, ECS, CloudWatch, RDS, S3, and IAM, as well as Linux and Windows systems.
- Continuously monitor AWS environments and Linux/Windows systems to guarantee availability, performance, and security around the clock.
- Address and resolve client inquiries, technical issues, and incidents via monitoring tools, email, chat, and telephone communication.
- Work closely with multiple teams to tackle complex technical challenges and provide solutions promptly.
- Handle system administration duties including user management, server oversight, backups, recovery procedures, and applying security patches and updates.
- Track Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and conduct data analysis related to server Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain and oversee the lifecycle of incidents and software releases.
- Develop and update technical documentation, knowledge base resources, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to facilitate operational consistency.
- Identify potential issues proactively and recommend enhancements to improve infrastructure performance, security, and scalability.
- Participate in an on-call schedule to provide support outside regular hours and respond to critical system events.
- Keep current with advancements in AWS services, Linux technologies, and industry best practices to maintain high standards of support delivery.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in technical support roles.
- Proficient with AWS services, including EC2, ECS, CloudWatch, RDS, S3, and IAM.
- Experience working with Docker and Ansible for containerization and configuration management.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Understanding of GitHub and concepts related to Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
- Familiarity with fundamental DevSecOps principles.
- Effective problem-solving abilities coupled with strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience using monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Splunk.
- Basic scripting capabilities in Shell and Python.
- Possession of an AWS Solution Architect certification is an advantage.
Additional Information
